As we’re tackling our bedroom this year [be gone collapsing ceiling!!], I started the search for the PERFECT light fitting and time and time again I was being drawn towards the same style - brass and glass globes! They’ve been on trend for quite a while and make no signs of going anywhere soon, so I thought I’d collate some of my favourites here in hopes it can help someone else on their search [and so that my hours of searching the internet don’t go to waste as I’m still undecided!

I’ll also share some inspiration from some of the beautiful home accounts I follow on Instagram!

The Morantz Pendant Light by myfurniture
This is currently my number one contender as I’m on the search for a light which is quite wide with the bedroom measuring 4m wide and for £149.99 I think it’s a great price for such a statement piece. Available to buy here.
As seen here in the colourful home of @girl.franks
2. Morantz Chandelier by myfurniture
This one is currently my second favourite option, but priced a little higher at £199.99. However, at 75cm wide I believe it to be more than worth it for such a statement piece and the ring of globes makes it a real feature to any room. Available to buy here.
As seen here in the elegant home of @littleedwardian
3. 6 Light Sputnik Pendant by Argos
This one comes in at a much more affordable price of £70, but is over 20cm smaller than the above and with clear glass globes. This doesn’t make it any less of a statement though and all depends on the size of your room and the look you’re going for. Available to buy here.

4. Opal Globe 10 Light by Marks & Spencer
This one you may recognise from some of your favourite homes on Instagram and sits comfortably at £149 - with M&S offering the option of paying across 3 months. Available to buy here.
As seen in the open plan kitchen/diner of @ck_homestyle
5. Nova Large Ceiling Light by Matalan
What I love about this light is that each arm is moveable so you can position the lights straight or slanted depending on what you prefer and for £100 it’s a great size at around 60cm. And there are table lamps to match if you like a coherent look in a room! Available to buy here.

6. Globe by MADE
MADE actually have many variations of this light available including wall lights and other colour ways, the Globe pendant in Copper is currently in the sale at £99 and sits at a whopping 94cm wide. Available here.
7. Globe Chandelier by MADE
Another I had fallen in love with for our bedroom is the Globe Chandelier in Pink - as our room is set to be painted navy blue with a pink ceiling and gold details I thought this would look lovely, but at only 61cm wide it might not be wide enough. This is also one of the more expensive options at £179 with a delivery of charge of £15, but MADE do offer payment with Klarna if you want to spread the cost. Available here.
8. Chelso by Lights and Lamps
This one you may recognise from a popular home instagram account that features a lot of black and white and brass. Lights and Lamps actually named this piece after her and it features in her newly decorated lounge. At a great size of 100cm wide and adjustable height of 30, 60 or 90cm this piece makes a real statement and is priced at £189. Available here.
And the very home you may recognise it from is @thehousethatblackbuilt
9. Tanner 3 Light Black Bar Ceiling Fitting by Dunelm
Or if you’re looking for something that sits a little more flush with the ceiling Dunelm have this stunning fitting with smoked glass globes that is a great 80cm but with a 44cm drop - great if like me your lounge TV is up on the wall! Available here.
10. Industrial Semi Flush 8 Light on Amazon
Speaking of semi flush ceiling lights - you can easily create a globe light effect using this very affordable £40 light and buying statement oversized edison style light bulbs! I always get asked where the one in our lounge is from but I bought it years ago after hours of searching online, but this Amazon one is practically the same, it just needs someone willing to give it a good coat of spray paint to make it look brass or silver or whatever suits your room. Available here.

In my hours of searching the internet for THE perfect light for our bedroom makeover I’ve found many other designs and variations and price points, but these were some of my favourites that didn’t span upwards of £500! I hope you found it useful and maybe if you’re on the same search as me it has helped put a few beautiful designs into one single place for you!
Let me know if there’s any other searches you’d like me to share and head over to my Instagram to keep an eye on what I choose!
